Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis-Management, Prognosis and Care in the Home

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) is a terminal illness. We understand that medical therapies and outpatient care will impact the prognosis. This session will review this disease and provide a better understanding of the prognosis, incidence, and the natural history of the disease. We will review the clinical features of ALS and review therapies for disease and symptom management. Finally, when is it time to consider a Home Health referral to Hospice? (CME Offered)
